Miguel is the best mechanic that I have ever interacted. He can work with the Engine with his eyes closed. Had an issue with Coil and Spark plugs. Wrapped up in less than 45 min and cost effective and convenient getting repaired at home.

Great team at Proficient Auto. J was able to get me seen last minute and get a technician to me same day. My gear shifter was stuck in Park on my Jaguar. J worked with me and was very professional and understanding to my situation. Miguel came and spent an extra hour over because of the VIN being already programmed in my replacement. He worked his magic and swapped parts and put my VIN chip to the replacement gear shifter. Saving me $800 plus labor on a new gearbox. Miguel saved the day for me. My experience with Proficient has certainly allowed my views of the auto mechanic field to evolve back to a level of appreciation. Based on some of my past experiences, I was not only left with burnt wallet but a mindset as well. Initial contact was made with James via phone. James was extremely helpful and clearly explained the process of my requested service of a pre-purchase inspection. For my appointment, I was assigned Sky. Sky conducted the appointment with the seller present. Upon completion of my inspection, I received a verbal explanation of his findings. In addition, you are provided a comprehensive digital report to include video and pictures. He level of thoroughness, professionalism, expertise and conversation wrapped in laughter was beyond impressive and refreshing. Sky is not only a human handbook on auto mechanics but probably has "grease" running through is veins from being a treasure trove of information! Found Proficient Auto mentioned on community chat board....said they were quick, good, and fair. Well, thanks to their mechanic named Sky, he made my day!! My 2012 Nissan had the gear shift not allow to be changed from P, R, N, or D.....stuck in neutral but Sky was able to fix it!! Thanks and would recommend for sure!

So I had Miguel come out and replace the oil cooler on my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. I had taken it to the dealership and they told me it would be $1,500 to replace. I looked online and found the part for $200 and Miguel changed it out for me for only $300. So after he finished that I told him I would be calling him back to work on my 2011 Nissan Murano. I had taken the Murano to a local auto shop and they never could cure my check engine light coming on. Matter of fact my son took the car back to the same folks more than 8 times in 2 months. So Miguel came out and diagnosed that it was an o2 sensor and evap valve issue. I went and bought the parts and he was able to install them only to find out that the evap valve was failing because the part itself was faulty. The valves were reversed. So he basically put it on backwards and it worked as it was suppose to. Check engine light went off and I was able to get and pass the inspection the following day. I highly recommend Proficient because they do great work and stand by what they say. Thanks Miguel

Miguel provided me excellent service on my 2008 Honda crv. He replaced my cooling fans in only 30 mins. He even looked at my check engine light for me to discover that one of my wires were hanging and unplugged from a previous mechanic shop I went to. He is excellent and profressional at what he does. If you have a Honda or Acura, he does exceptional work. However I can just say he is good with cars all together 10/10 will recommend to family and friends. Also….the prices are better than most mechanic shops too 😊

I had a great experience with Proficient Auto Mobile Mechanics while I was in Raleigh purchasing a car from out of state (I live in New Jersey). Because I was traveling, timing was extremely important—I needed to either move forward with the purchase quickly or make arrangements to fly back home. I purchased a PPI thru these guys…and was thrilled to know that the service came with a complimentary carfax report on the car I was gonna buy (the seller wanted $3800 on an ‘08 civic with 233k miles…and wasn’t budging = NO SALE!!! lol). I didn’t buy the car, but was thoroughly impressed with the fast and reliable service by the mobile mechanic Travis. Miguel from Mobile Mechanics is awesome! He is definitely my new go-to guy! The fact that I was able to have my radiator swapped in the parking lot at work is beyond any great expectations I could have created. I’d never heard of mobile mechanics before but now I can’t imagine not using one whenever possible. There was no tow truck to watch take my car away (hopefully to his shop, lol), and no need to figure out how to find and get to that shop and pick up my car when it’s done (which usually means bothering a coworker for a ride). I get it. Not everything can be done without certain tools and equipment, but it sure is nice to have the option when it is possible. And can I just say here that Miguel was a real class act! And great at following up and communicating. Our Security guard was a little hard on him (unnecessarily so as he has his own liability insurance – which is what they stated was the issue), but he politely spoke to her, explained the situation and all went as planned. Also, you would think this service would cost above and beyond what you’d expect to pay in a shop. I want to say the cost was less than I expected for the service I received. One of the very few times I was happy after having auto work done. And he explained it all to me because I chose to be present and ask questions. He never made me feel like I was bothering him. I had called Proficient Auto because I had took my Yukon to the shop and wanted to receive a better price for it to be fixed. My truck needed spark plugs and wires, gaskets and a fuel pump. The price given to me was completely unbeatable and Brandon, the mechanic sent out, was absolutely wonderful. He was informative and fixed my truck perfectly. Even with the couple of mix up with the parts providers messing up he still went out of his way to get the parts and provide the best service. I will definitely be using them again for services with any of my vehicles.

I had a no start diagnostic I was sure that I needed a new alternator and was ready to spend that money but Miguel came and figured out the true cause of my problems saved me money and got my car back working I appreciate the honesty they had about the situation and also checking in to make sure everything was still running unwell the next day.

I started having random episodes of my car shutting off. I got a diagnostic from a previous mechanic that told me I needed a new alternator but gave me a quote almost double what I was going to end up paying with Proficient auto mobile mechanics. I scheduled alternator service, Miguel came out the next day but my car decided to work perfectly fine. He checked my alternator and battery which ended up not being the issue. My battery was 6yrs old so I asked him to just switch it out. He did that & My car was running fine. I drove a few miles made it back home. Maybe a half hour later tried to restart my car and it wouldn’t start. Miguel came right back out, took the time to figure out the issue. Turned out to be a fuse intermittently going out (if I’m saying that right). He went out picked up the part came back and fixed my car within the hour. I really appreciated him going the extra step testing my alternator instead of just installing a new one and figuring out the real issue. I haven’t had an issue since, he also fixed my bumper that was slightly hanging off for free.

Miguel was great! Super helpful and knowledgeable. Had an old car that had been sitting for a few months. Didn’t feel like having it towed to get it looked at. He came right to my driveway and changed the battery.

I was having problems with my car not starting, and Trae came out to do a diagnostic test on my car to help me figure out the issue. He was very thorough and took his time. Very friendly guy and super dependable. We came to the conclusion that it was my starter. As soon as I got my part, he came back and installed it for me in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely come to him again if I have any more issues with my car.

Usually, I don’t leave reviews but I was extremely impressed with the service and care that I was provided with, I spoke with James over the phone and he gave me an estimate pretty quick regarding what was wrong with my car and I let him know that I needed this problem fixed as soon as possible and he was able to get a technician out to me within 2 hrs of our call. Mike, who is an excellent mechanic, came out and fixed the rotors and brake pads on my car in a timely and efficient way. I am very happy with the service I was provided with and will definitely be contacting them again regarding any future car problems!

Tim showed up at 9:30am and had finished changing the the power steering pump and low pressures hose by 12:15. He did an excellent job, no fluid spilled on driveway, every thing cleaned up. The vechical runs fine.

Used Proficient to do a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle. Called them up and they gave me a window of time when they could do the inspection. Timothy was the tech who did the work. He showed up within the time window promised and did exactly what I was expecting. He provided a thorough written report with pictures, as well as calling me directly. He also provided me with some additional information of things to look out for. Really appreciated the personal approach/touch from Timothy. I'd recommend this service for anyone who is about to make a vehicle purchase and don't want to just take the word of the seller. Is it totally fool-proof? No it isn't. But what is! I purchased a 2001 BMW at the beginning of the year and with the age and being a BMW you can imagine it has needed a lot. Robert and his team have done an absolutely outstanding job each time they come to work on my restoration project. Wether it has been changing out my entire coolant system, tune up, or a crankshaft sensor; they have been there to help and with utmost professionalism and fair prices. I highly recommend this team to anyone needing some work done.

I called them for mobile service, and the person on the other end was able to accurately diagnose my problem over the phone and told me how to easily fix it *without* them having to come out to me! I woke up this morning to a car where the heat and the defrost stop working. The noise was so loud I thought my car was going to break down in the middle of the street. This is hands down the best mechanic I’ve used. They have gone above and beyond to help me with my Mini Cooper. They truly give you the best price and are extremely helpful when explaining what the issues were. They have won me over as a lifelong customer!

This company is great because it starts with the leadership. Founder Robert is a very special person. Robert wanted me to save money because he thought it was the battery and didn't feel it was right to come out and pay a consultation fee just to switch out and or clean the battery's build up. Robert came to my house, personally, checked out the battery, helped me check the battery life, removed the battery, took me to auto zone to buy $5 battery cleaner, cleaned the battery, and the car started right up AFTER I had AAA come out and the guy wanted to tow it to their shop and god knows what they would have charged me. I absolutely insisted on payment and Robert refused saying "The point was to avoid you to pay a lot of money, how can I charge you for this". Honestly I have not been treated like this by any company in a very very long time. Not only will I exclusively use them going forward but I have already told my experience to friends, family, strangers.... Obviously I recommend. Call Proficient Auto First.

My first experience with Proficient was today. The mechanic, Jose, arrived on time and really went above and beyond. Not only did Jose complete the repair in less time than estimated he pointed out a serious issue that could have resulted in a vehicle fire. My extended warranty is just about to expire and fortunately this issue is covered under the warranty. Jose also gave me several recommendations than I can do myself that will save me money. I highly recommend them!

Jose quoted me a price that beat all local shops in my area. He was able to schedule me in 2 days from our initial conversation. He came out on time and completed the work quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!

A note about pricing: I assumed that it would be more expensive to have this service, but when I called around to double check with local shops, their quotes were more expensive than what Proficient Auto charged me. Even a local 'quick lube' company quoted me $30 more for the same service. I absolutely love this company. I have used their service a couple times over the past couple years and each time is special. The convenience of having someone come to your home or business to perform oil changes, break changes, etc, cannot be overstated. Getting someone to come out is super easy, since when you call to make an appointment, you'll be greeted warmly and helped by the nicest people. Most recently, Magda was super incredibly sweet in assisting me, offering excellent customer service and working on my behalf to ensure a promise of a credit to my account (given to me a little more than a year ago by a tech that no longer works there) was honored. I was astonished and pleased. All I had to do was send a screenshot of the text conversation between the tech and I. She then partnered with Robert, and together they made it happen. I wasn't sure if it could be honored due to the circumstances, but they did it and made it easy. As long as I am in the Raleigh-ish area, I will use their services for any car needs because of this wonderful interaction. I've been fortunate to have the same tech each time, Mr. Williams, who is incredibly kind, hard working, and treats me like a VIP. He calls before your appointment, makes sure he knows exactly what you need, schedules a time to arrive, shows up on time in a large professional marked van, and gets to work. He always impresses me with how kind he is, and this time he came, he was kind enough to explain some of the work he was doing to a very interested 5 year old. He didn't have to do that, just as Magda didn't have to honor that credit promise, but he did, and it speaks so much to his character and the quality of the company that hires good people. You will not regret using this service. Be kind and be sure to tip your technician, and make sure they have something to drink!

My car wouldn't start this morning and I remembered seeing one of the PA trucks in my area recently...submitted a help form online and they got in touch with me right away and came out to my house just a couple of hours later for a diagnostic on my 2007 VW Jetta. Tim was very professional and friendly, and explained everything to me in detail when I had questions. He diagnosed exactly what was wrong with my car (bad cell in battery) and it was a relief to know that a bigger (more expensive) item wasn't the problem. Had a dead starter on my 2014 Honda Accord, not only were they on site within an hour but they had it replaced shortly thereafter. Tim was professional, courteous, and worked quickly. Proficient also worked with my extended warranty provider so I only had to pay the copay. They were absolutely awesome to work with, can't recommend them enough!

Compare prices and you will always go with Proficient Auto. AAA towed my car to one of their recommended shops where I was quoted $700 for a starter on a 2006 Accord. I called Proficient Auto to compare prices. Eric had a van at my house the next day for under $400. Why pay overhead or flat out get priced gouged at other places? I highly recommend calling Eric. He answered my call immediately, talked through the issue, and sent a mechanic (Mike) that was professional, courteous, and did high quality work.

Tim was fantastic. He showed up earlier than the scheduled appointment and he was thorough in checking my vehicle in order to make sure he told me exactly what was wrong. He helped solved the problem and my car is working perfectly now.

I had an issue with my 2012 VW CC Coupe, my friend thought he would help and pulled a fuse. It then would not run, no throttle. I called on a Saturday to a few places with no call back and then called Proficient from the internet. I got a call back right away from Robert. They offered to have uber take me to work if they could not work on it at my home. The technicians Jesse and Kenny came to my home. Incredibly knowledgeable and polite. They diligently worked on my car and got it running. I asked what I owed and Jesse said its on us, I wanted to cry as things have been tuff. I have never been treated with such respect and gotten this type of service. I would highly recommend them. I am just beyond words at the service and integrity of this company.

All the great reviews are correct. I called them at 9:00am. Mike was there around 10:00. All repairs were made before the afternoon. I am glad I chose to call these guys. I will be a future customer. I couldn't be happier.

Popped a check engine light on Friday at 5:15 to start my weekend. Looked around for a mechanic that was open Saturday and these guys popped up. I sent in a quote request and they called me right back, and were able to come see me on lunch hour at work and tell me the problem and get a price estimate. The price was a lot cheaper than anywhere else, so I asked if they could do it the next day, and they said no problem. Had it all fixed up within two hours, and told me about a problem waiting to happen and gave me a preliminary quote for that part as well. Overall, very satisfied, and would definitely recommend these guys to anyone. Didn't save my card info, which I really liked, and were very polite.

I spoke with Eric regarding the issue I was having with my Ford Edge Limited regarding the brakes and my car stalling when at red lights and he took his time and explained to me what he thought it could be, the brake booster. He was professional and very easy to chat with. The next day Jason, the mechanic, came to my work and fixed my issue which turned out to be the brake booster that Eric mentioned. Jason was awesome to work with, thorough and funny. The price was very reasonable and the best part about it was the repair happened in my office garage while I worked. I contacted Erik for a pre-purchase inspection. Erik arrived at the dealership on time and ready to work. He was very thorough and found some items that ultimately gave me some bargaining power. I was very pleased with Erik's knowledge of the Range Rover and his thoroughness in his inspection. If you plan on purchasing a used vehicle, I strongly recommend using these guys.

My wife's car wouldn't start. I'd seen Proficient working on a car at my place of work, so I called and spoke to Eric. After describing the situation to him, he said he could be there in 45 minutes, which was faster than I could. He got the part(s) and was there in 30 minutes. She was back on the road in another 30. I just used Proficient Auto Mobile Mechanics for the first time. This was also the first time I have ever used a mobile mechanic service. My car would not start and was stuck at home. Erik from Precision was able to come to my home quickly and diagnose the problem. In addition, there was a couple other repairs I had been putting off. Erik and Jason were able to fix all of the issues. The price was more than fair and they were dedicated to getting the job done. They were knowledgeable and competent. I will definitely use them for future auto needs. Proficient Auto was convenient and the right choice. Five stars - the car drives great.

My work vehicle broke down at a gas station and they came promptly and fixed my car on-site. I am in the automotive industry so i can say the pricing is very fair. The Lord sent an angel to our aid today. We had just exited onto Hwy 64 East off New Hope Road in Raleigh, NC, when our tire went flat & then just shredded. My husband began unloading the tools from the rear of the car to begin the process of changing to the spare. Inside the car was my 94yr old mother who cannot see, cannot hear & has dementia, sleeping. Just as my husband & I were standing at the rear of our car, with cars coming by at 70mph, I saw a van that had just passed us, backing up. A gentleman came over & said it looked like we could use some help. It was extremely hot & he just jumped in with his jack to assist. He knew exactly what he was doing & there is no way we could have gotten help that fast, even with AAA. My husband shook his hand & tried to hand him some money. His response was, 'No sir, just pay it forward & God bless'. The gentleman was Erik Albertson from Proficient Auto. Yes, the Lord knew our need today & sent an angel. My mother never even realized we had any problem. What service!!

Great service, communication and flexibility. They replaced the thermostat in my 2012 328i and were great to work with and did a great job communicating what was going on and when they would arrive. They're great people to work on your car and will be my go to for future repairs and service.
