Mobile oil & filter service

Every oil change includes the correct OEM-spec oil (conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic, or low-SAPS European), a quality filter, a new drain plug gasket when the vehicle calls for one, and a top-to-bottom visual inspection while we're under the car. We reset the oil-life monitor, log the mileage, and leave you with a written record of what was done.

Pricing depends on the vehicle, the oil spec, and the capacity — a Civic taking 4 quarts of 0W-20 is a very different job from a diesel truck taking 13 quarts of 5W-40. You get a firm quote up front before we book.

  • Conventional, synthetic blend, and full synthetic oils
  • European low-SAPS specs (BMW LL-01/04, MB 229.5/229.51, VW 504/507, Porsche A40/C30)
  • Quality filters — OEM, Mann, Mahle, Hengst, Wix, or Bosch depending on the platform
  • Visual inspection of belts, hoses, leaks, tire condition, and brake wear
  • Oil-life monitor reset and digital service record

Fluid services we do on-site

Most automakers call certain fluids 'lifetime fill.' In practice, they aren't — transmissions, transfer cases, and brake fluid all benefit from periodic service, and skipping it shortens the life of expensive components. We follow the OEM service interval (or sooner if your driving pattern calls for it) and use the correct fluid for your specific vehicle.

  • Transmission fluid service — drain & fill or full exchange depending on the platform (ZF 8HP, Aisin, Honda CVT, etc.)
  • Coolant flush & refill with the correct OEM-spec coolant (G12++/G13, Dex-Cool, Toyota SLLC, Honda Type 2, etc.)
  • Brake fluid flush — recommended every 2–3 years; we test moisture content first
  • Power steering fluid exchange (where applicable)
  • Differential and transfer case fluid (front, rear, AWD/4WD)
  • Spark plug replacement, air filter, and cabin filter at the same visit if due

Why the right fluid matters

Modern transmissions and cooling systems are engineered around very specific fluid chemistries. The wrong ATF in an 8-speed automatic can cause harsh shifting within a few thousand miles. Generic 'green' coolant in a system designed for OAT/HOAT chemistry can attack head gaskets and water-pump seals. We stock and use the correct OEM-spec fluids — and if your vehicle takes something exotic, we source it before the visit, not at the auto-parts counter.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does a mobile oil change cost in Raleigh?
Oil changes are quoted per vehicle because oil type, capacity, and filter cost vary widely — a 4-quart Honda is very different from a 13-quart diesel or a European low-SAPS spec. Send us your year/make/model and we'll send a firm quote.
What kind of oil do you use?
Whatever your vehicle's OEM spec calls for — conventional, synthetic blend, full synthetic, or one of the European long-life specs (BMW LL-01/04, MB 229.5, VW 504/507, Porsche A40/C30). We don't substitute a 'close enough' oil to save a few dollars.
How often should I change my transmission fluid?
Follow your manufacturer's severe-service interval — usually every 30,000–60,000 miles, even if the owner's manual says 'lifetime.' Stop-and-go traffic, towing, and our North Carolina summer heat all count as severe service.
Do you do coolant flushes and brake fluid services?
Yes — both at your driveway. Coolant flushes use the correct OEM-spec coolant for your platform. Brake fluid flushes are recommended every 2–3 years; we test moisture content with a refractometer first so you're not paying for a service you don't need yet.
Can you do an oil change and brakes at the same visit?
Yes — bundling maintenance and repairs into one visit is exactly what mobile service is good at. Tell us everything you'd like looked at when you request the quote and we'll allot enough time.
