- Do you have VAG-COM / VCDS scan tools?
- Yes. We use VAG-specific diagnostic equipment that reads every module on the car (engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, infotainment, comfort) — that's the only way to properly diagnose a modern VW.
- Can you do timing chain or timing belt work in my driveway?
- Yes for many models. The job depends on the engine — some VW timing services are very mobile-friendly, others need a lift. We'll tell you honestly when something needs a shop.
- Why does my GTI burn oil?
- Early EA888 engines (roughly 2008–2014) have a known oil-consumption pattern related to piston ring design and PCV behavior. We can diagnose where it's going (rings vs. valve seals vs. PCV) before you commit to a repair.
- Do you work on TDI diesels?
- Yes — including diagnostic work on emission-related systems. We'll be straight with you about what's worth fixing and what isn't on older TDI platforms.
- Will mobile Volkswagen repair void my factory or extended warranty?
- No. Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) protects your right to have a qualified independent mechanic perform service without voiding the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work is done correctly and to spec. We document everything and use OEM-spec parts so your records hold up.
- Where do you serve?
- Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex, Wake Forest, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Clayton, Knightdale, Morrisville, Wendell, and Rolesville. We come to your home, office, or wherever the Volkswagen is sitting.
- How fast can you come out?
- Most Volkswagen appointments are booked same-week, and we can often do batteries, diagnostics, and brake jobs sooner when the schedule allows. Call 919-675-AUTO or request a quote and we'll text back with a window.
- What's your warranty?
- 12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labor — whichever comes first. Same warranty whether we work on a base-model commuter or a flagship sport sedan.
