What dealer service actually costs you (besides money)

  • A weekday morning gone — drop-off, loaner-car paperwork, then back again at pickup
  • Service-package bundling — line items your specific car doesn't need yet
  • Padded book-time labor instead of actual time on the wrench
  • Loaner-car gotchas (fuel level, mileage, insurance gaps)
  • Recommendations driven by a service writer's commission, not your car's actual condition

What you actually get when the dealer is the right call

We're going to be honest: there are jobs where the dealer is the right answer.

  • Active recall work — the dealer does it for free; we don't compete with free
  • Brand-new car under factory warranty for warranty-covered failures
  • Manufacturer goodwill / extended-warranty negotiation for known platform issues
  • Software updates or coding that genuinely require dealer-only tooling (rare but real)
  • Crash / collision repair on cars where insurance is paying

What we do better than the dealer

For everything else — routine maintenance, brake jobs, diagnostics, electrical, suspension components, fluid services, A/C, cooling-system work, pre-purchase inspections — independent mobile is usually faster, cheaper, and less of a runaround.

  • Marque-specific scan tools for VAG, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Hyundai/Kia, GM, Ford
  • OE-spec parts from the same suppliers the factories use
  • Correct manufacturer-spec fluids (not a quick-lube special)
  • Written quote before work starts — parts, labor, and tax itemized
  • 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on parts and labor
  • We come to your driveway or office — no drop-off, no loaner shuffle, no service writer

Quote-based pricing — every job

We don't do price-range estimates because they're misleading. Pre-purchase inspections and the mobile diagnostic are both quote-based and confirmed in writing before the visit. Everything else gets a written quote based on your specific vehicle.

Simple, three-step process

How it works

No surprise invoices. No upsells. No high-pressure tactics.

  1. 1. Tell us what's going on

Fill out the form or call. Share the year, make, model, and the symptom — that's all we need to scope the work.

  2. 2. We send a written quote

You get a firm written quote and an appointment window — usually within the hour during business hours. Nothing is booked until you say so.

  3. 3. We come to you

An ASE-certified mobile tech arrives at your driveway, office, or wherever the car is sitting. Most repairs done same visit.

Your repair is protected

12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on parts and labor

Whichever comes first. Same warranty on every vehicle and every job — domestic, Asian, European, EV, or exotic. If something we installed fails inside that window, we make it right at no charge.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Will going to an independent mechanic void my factory or extended warranty?
No. Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) protects your right to use a qualified independent without voiding the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work is done correctly and to spec. We document everything and use OE-spec parts so your records hold up.
Are you really cheaper than the dealer?
Almost always — biggest savings on labor (no dealer overhead, no padded book time), meaningful savings on parts (same OE-spec suppliers, fair markup). On a typical brake job, fluid service, or alternator replacement, the difference is real.
Can you do manufacturer-recommended service like 60k or 100k miles?
Yes — and we'll tell you which line items on the dealer service-menu are actually due vs. padding. Most scheduled maintenance is very mobile-friendly.
What brands do you work on?
Most makes — including BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Jaguar, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Ford, GM / Cadillac, Subaru, Tesla (PPIs and service we're equipped for), Mazda, Nissan, Infiniti. Dedicated marque pages cover the deep-dives.

Where do you serve?
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex, Wake Forest, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Clayton, Knightdale, Morrisville, Wendell, and Rolesville.
What's your warranty?
12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labor — whichever comes first. Same warranty whether we're working on a base-trim sedan or a flagship sport car.
