Why an independent European specialist beats the dealer for most jobs

  • Dealer: book weeks out, loaner-car shuffle, dealer-rate labor. Us: same-week appointment in your driveway, actual labor time.
  • Dealer: brand-pure parts at brand-pure prices. Us: OE-spec parts (often from the same supplier) at fair prices.
  • Dealer: easy upsell on services your car may not actually need. Us: we tell you what's due and what isn't.
  • Dealer: built around new-car warranty work. Us: built around honest service for cars 3–15 years old.

European platforms we service

Marque-specific brand pages cover the platform deep-dives — common issues, scan-tool coverage, and what we'll and won't do mobile:

  • BMW — F/G chassis, N20/N52/N54/N55/B46/B58/S55/S58, ZF 8HP, xDrive transfer case
  • Mercedes-Benz — most platforms, M276/M178/M256, 7G/9G transmissions, 4MATIC
  • Audi — EA888 2.0T, 3.0 TFSI, 4.0 TFSI, S tronic / DSG, Quattro driveline
  • Porsche — water-cooled 996+ (Boxster, Cayman, 911, Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, Taycan)
  • Volkswagen — Mk5–Mk8 GTI/GLI/Tiguan/Atlas, EA888, VR6, DSG, TDI diagnostics
  • Land Rover — late Discovery, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar
  • Jaguar — XF, XJ, F-Pace, F-Type

What we bring to a European-auto visit

The right tooling is non-negotiable on a modern European platform — generic OBD-II readers miss most of what matters.

  • Marque-specific scan tools (not just a generic OBD-II reader)
  • Module-level coding capability for many platforms (battery registration, transmission adaptation, electronic parking brake reset)
  • OE-spec parts — same suppliers the factories use (Bosch, ZF, Sachs, Brembo, Pagid, Continental, etc.)
  • Correct manufacturer-spec fluids (G13, HT-12, 325 / 405 / 461, Pentosin CHF, etc.)
  • 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on parts and labor

What we won't do mobile

Honest about scope: alignments need a rack, full transmission rebuilds need a hoist, some platform-specific timing services are genuinely better in a shop. We'll tell you up front rather than start the job and fail.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Will independent service void my factory or extended warranty?
No. Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) protects your right to use a qualified independent mechanic without voiding the manufacturer warranty, as long as the work is done correctly and to spec. We document everything and use OE-spec parts so your records hold up.
Are you cheaper than the dealer?
Almost always — because we don't carry dealer overhead and we don't upsell. Bigger savings on labor than on parts; we use OE or OE-equivalent parts and bill the actual labor it takes, not a padded book time.
Do you have brand-specific diagnostic tools?
Yes — VAG (VCDS-class), BMW (ISTA-class), Mercedes (XENTRY-class), Porsche (PIWIS-style). Generic OBD-II readers can't see most of what matters on a modern European car: comfort modules, transmission adaptations, coding-level faults, manufacturer-specific live data.
Can you do European pre-purchase inspections?
Yes — mobile PPI by quote. Specialty platforms (Porsche GT cars, AMG, RS-models, Land Rover) are sometimes quoted separately because the inspection takes longer.
Where do you serve?
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex, Wake Forest, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Clayton, Knightdale, Morrisville, Wendell, and Rolesville.
What's your warranty?
12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labor — whichever comes first.
